nibtool question

Hi,
I' d like to use nibtool for converting back and forth between nibs and
the propertylist like output of nibtool (for better integration of nibs
into cvs and so on). Sadly "man nibtool" states the following:
BUGS
You cannot regenerate a nib file using the output of
nibtool.
Can I, since this is marked as a BUG, assume that this will be fixed in
the future or is it something that never will be fixed (maybe there are
issues that make a fix impossible)? What can I expect? Does someone have
some insight?
