Managing non-compiled files in project builder

  • Subject: Managing non-compiled files in project builder

If I wanted to manage a non-compiled file (like a ReadMe or help file) in project builder, is the correct method to make that an executable that depends on the source ReadMe file? I want it to update the "built" ReadMe file whenever I change the source, and include it when I create a deployment version. I think this would would work, but I want to do it the "standard" way, not just a way that works.

TIA,
Steve
