From this user's POV, it would be better not to have a single
"address book" format, so as to squelch viruses such as those
that have been giving the windoze folks fits over the last year.
Maybe if the system would raise a red flag whenever the file(s)
were accessed... but that would get to be annoying, too, and
people would turn it off.
It won't matter if the authoritarians get their ways, we'll all
be required to use only our international ID kkkard numbers which
will be published for access by all who would do evil.
"Neurons in layer IVb have somewhat larger receptive fields,
longer than those of layer IVc neurons, but just as narrow.
They respond best to a line with a particular orientation.
That is, some nurons respond best to a vertical line, some
to a horizontal line... The selectivity of different neurons
varies, but in general their response falls off when the line
tilts by >10 degrees." --- Neil R. Carlson 1986
