Hi,
I was once a developer a very long time ago and
have since lost many of my programming skills
when I went into marketing (it does that
to people) but wish to get back into my roots
and decided that Cocoa development is my
new direction.
First, let me say that I have read many articles/docs
on Apple Dev Connection, understand the architecture
(AppKit and Framework Kits, IB, PB, M-V-C). Since there
is a big learning curve, I also have to re-learn my programming
skills. Cocoa dev supports both Java and Objective C. Its frameworks
are written in Objective C but also supports Java. However, ObjC is or
was a fading language.
My question: If you were starting out, would you start out
with Java or Objective C for developing Cocoa apps?
I know this is a newbie question and appreciate your thoughts.
Thank you very much,
Reno
