"Converter" is class name isn't it. Instance name is "converter" WHY?

Because we are all lazy programmers with no imagination who enjoy spending the early hours of the morning trying to squint at our monitors to tell the difference between "Converter" and "converter". :)

Real answer is, because we chose to label the instance of "Converter" as "converter". We could have called it "myConverterInstance". But then where would the fun be?
