You can copy a encrypted password from one user to another user. So, the easiest way would be to change your own password temporarily with the passwd command, then copy it over.

And in case you're wondering, this is for the program called SharePoints, not for some password cracking tool.

In case you want to do it from code, have a look for the source of the passwd command.

P.S.: The command is in OS X, but the man page leads to "openssl passwd" !?!
