Power management API

Ok I know that _this_ is a very strange request, however... I'll do it.

I need some sample code to set a system parameter to a vale that's not normally available tru the prefs panel.

The value I want to change is the timer for display sleep.
I noticed that the minimum (normal) value for this parameter is 5 minutes, but if you change it in the prefs file "com.apple.PowerManagement.plist", you can lower it to 1 minute. Lower values (0.5) are read as 0 thus setting the timer to "never".

Suppose now that I want to set this timer to something like 10 seconds (for my own purposes) from a user program.

Whell, here is the question: how can I make such a thing *without* screwing up the whole power management system ?

Regards, Tom ;-{))
