When I clicked on "Technotes" in the Apple Documentation, the Internet

No good.
I renamed the unwanted Explorer.
No good.
I copied it to some other location, deleted the thing in /Applications
No good.
I copied it to my Next-computer, deleting it on my Mac.
No good.
I disconnected my Next-computer from the Mac.
Finally no more explorer! But instead of using the already running
OmniWeb a new copy of it was started, which is also a bit silly.

I guess that this very persistent behaviour of the explorer has
something to do with aliases.
Is there some documentation, which explains aliases, the HFS+ filesystem
and similar things?

Gerriet.

Ever tried to set OmniWeb as your preferred browser in the Internet System
Preference? :)

Well, I just checked, and there was OmniWeb already set in Preferences.

The Inside Macintosh and Inside Carbon will give you information on aliases.
Aliases are good.

Maybe so. But right now, they are very confusing.

Gerriet.
