How to get color sync preferences?

We are developing a Cocoa based application and we would need to know which
settings are currently set in the ColorSync system preferences panel, e.g.
profiles for devices, documents and CMM.
I tried to find hints on different mailing lists and found only tn2035.pdf
from Apple, but his only deals with the Carbon API.
Is there an API for Cocoa to query those preferences?
