I don't think you are naive. I think you have made a very helpful and
constructive suggestion. However, developers should not base a small
business solely upon wrapping Carbon APIs in Cocoa. Apple can undercut such
developers at a whim even just by spreading FUD. There are also issues
about contacting/marketing to the disparate Cocoa developers. There are
also issues about how to charge for frameworks. Nevertheless, Bill has a
good suggestion. We have already seen some progress in the form of attempts
to wrap QuickTime.
