but it doesn't really do anything except demonstrate the use of the syslog and daemon calls. Hmm, look at that URL - is Apple using IIS and MSFrontPage to maintain its developer web pages??!!?!? EWWWW!!!

What makes you think that they are using IIS or FrontPage?

Well, it's probably just the late hour intensifying my Wintel-ophobia, but all the HTML editors I use in Mac-land or UNIX-land make ".html" files instead of ".htm" files like the Windoze tools do. At any rate, just so 'll be able to sleep without nightmares later, I checked the server to see if I could smell any Micro$oft on it. The developer.apple.com server is definitely NOT running on any Apple hardware, but at least it's running Netscape Enterprise Server instead of IIS, and the HTML source doesn't have any FrontPage comments in it (Whewww!!). But then again, Netscape Enterprise Server might possibly be running on top of Windoze after all (shuddder).

The truth is out there...
