Looking for QuicktimeKit

Hi,
some time ago, someone talked about a beginning of a cocoa quicktime framework. I searched through the archive, but couldn't find pointers.
I'd be interested in using it and extending it (if needed) as Cocoa +quicktime.framework is a real pain for me to use.
Has someone info on that framework?
