Not intending to attack you personally, but this sort of attitude is
exactly why it is necessary to fight so hard to get people to make Cocoa
compatible with resource forks, creator codes, etc.
You may not care because you (like most developers) run up-to-date
hardware & software, but millions of people have old Macs with
resource-fork files on them and they won't all be moved over to OS X
until several more years (if not decades!) have passed. When they get a
new Mac with OS X, they are quite likely to keep their old Mac with
their old files and want to access the old files over the network
occasionally.
