The Font Menu provided in the Interface Builder Menu palette doesn't
validate its menu items as I would expect. Is this a bug, or is there a cure
I can write into my application?
When a text view is key, all of the Font Menu's menu items are enabled, as
expected. When a text field is key, some of them are disabled, as expected,
because their formatting doesn't apply to a text field.
However, the Font Menu, Bold, Italic, and Show Colors menu items remain
enabled when a text field is key -- even though they do nothing when
applied.
In fact, they're enabled all the time, even when no window is open. You see
this in other Cocoa applications, too. For example, Project Builder.
