NSMenuItem separatorItem -- default spacing?

  • Subject: NSMenuItem separatorItem -- default spacing?

Hi there,

I use [NSMenuItem separatorItem] to obtain separators in my menu, however it seems that the separator created is as tall as a normal menu item whereas the system is able to create smaller group spacings.

Did I overlook something? should I set the font on my menu item to something smaller?

For an example look at iTunes dock menu or Finders Open Recent Items menu...

Is this yet another reserved for Apple or Carbon developers API-thing that I'm getting so used to by now?
