I was also beginning Cocoa programming a few months ago, so like me you're
going to get through many questions like this. I found a great solution in
the book "Cocoa programming for MacOS X" by Aaron Hillegass. I advise you to
get it: it's a gread and very extensive introduction to Cocoa, Project
Builder and Interface Builder.

Then use AppKit.pdf, ObjC.pdf and Foundation.pdf as reference documentation
regarding Cocoa - look for them with Sherlock, they're installed with the
developer tools.
