NSTextField not scrolling

I have an NSTextField in my app. When I type text into the field,
it works fine, except that the text doesnt sideways scroll as I reach the
right hand side of the field.
Am I using the correct object? Is there some method I should be
setting to enable the scrolling? Any clues?
