Short of polluting your sources by a quite ugly and non-portable code,

generally nothing (there is Carbon -- alas -- under Cocoa anyway).
Ondra, must you "pollute" every one of your otherwise helpful replies with
such - to borrow a phrase from Finlay - vomit?
This list shouldn't be about:
A) ragging on Carbon
B) politics
C) pushing your own agenda
Please, keep your level of "stuff" to a minimum. For example, how might I
access Internet Config via Cocoa? Oh, woops, can't really be done. Might
never be done. I avoid Carbon when possible as well, but I also don't see
the need to rip on it or avoid it altogether.
P.S. Besides, I'd actually consider Carbon more portable than Cocoa, given
that Carbon code runs on OS 9 and X, whereas Cocoa's really only gonna get
you on X.
