An NSFontManager object gets into a nib file when it has a font menu. I just opened IB, laoded an empty nib, added a menu, a font menu from IB's palette, and got a Font Manager object which can't be deleted (because there are connections to it -- IB's error message is misleading). After deleting my Font menu, I could delete this Font manager.

I've got a variety of NSObjects--but I may have just found it. Somehow, I
got an NSFontManager object in my document. That's probably a bad, bad
thing. Unfortunately, Project Builder won't let me delete it.
