Ok, so I image there are some tools out there to do this already, but I
was at a cafe w/o internet access this afternoon and it was faster to
just do it myself. So, here goes. PasteboardWatcher is a little cocoa
utility to let you, well, watch the contents of the pasteboard. Just
select the pasteboard, select the type, and view the data.
Pretty simple, but it is open source and in the public domain. Get it

Right now this only displays the pasteboard data as a string. (Which
doesn't work well with binary-type data!) This is mostly useful for
when you are testing an app's pasteboard related facilities.
