It's annoying to be asked to pay for something you were formerly getting for free. I guess they view it as a business decision: the added revenue will be worth more to the company than was the good will they earned by giving away the services, or so they calculate.
I am actually more upset about another recent "business decision" of Apple's: charging 800 bucks to their developers to access the info disseminated at WWDC. This one seems like shooting oneself in the foot, since the result is that fewer people will be willing to write compelling software for the platform. Ah well.
