So no, you don't need to add it. You might have problems with that though,
since so far as I know .cvsignore does not work properly in Mac OS X's CVS.
I haven't checked what happens with a .cvsignore file in the project
directory, but my CVSROOT/cvsignore (without a "." before
"cvsignore") looks like this...
*~.*
.DS_Store
build
...and ignores what I want it to just fine, including nib file backups.
