Hello all,
Having found nothing about this in the archives, I try it with the list now:
Does anybody know if Apple implemented the "time jump" of the Gregorian
calendar (NSCalendarDate for Objective-C and NSGregorianCalendar for Java
are said to implement a Gregorian calendar) and if yes, in what month and
year?
To get some insight what I mean with "time jump" just ask Google for
"Gregorian calendar" and follow one of the links:
http://www.google.com/search?q=Gregorian+calendar&ie=ISO-8859-1&hl=de&btnG=G
oogle-Suche&meta=
E.g. In Java's java.util.GregorianCalendar there is 1582-10-4 but the next
day is 1582-10-15 because ten days are left out due to the Gregorian
reformation. In the Unix cal program it is implemented in Sep 1752, so the
day after 1752-9-2 is 1752-9-14.
TIA and have a nice weekend,
Florian Heckl
