Hello !
I would like to know how a resource is retrieved in a cocoa application.
I read the documentation and I believed that the order was as follow :
1.- Looking in the main resource folder
2.- Looking for a localized resource by order of preference which is
fixed in the System Preferences International pane
But, it seems that it is not the case.
To be sure, I removed the CFBundleDevelopmentRegion key in the info.plist
file of the application, and I restarted the computer each time I tried.
For example, in my application, I have a localized resource for English and
Japanese, NOT in French.
When the language preference is English, Japanese, French, the English
resource is taken.
However, when I set the order to French, Japanese, English, the English
version
of the resource is also taken, instead of the Japanese one.
So, my question is :
What is the right process of retrieving localized resources ?
I thank you all for your help.
Best Regards
Yves Peneveyre
