about_header_files

Hello, my question is NOT about obj c, but about the quality of the header files in /usr/include/ . I have been trying to compile gcc. But I get many errors. ( I am in the terminal, I am in UNIX, not MacOS) The gcc compiler tells me in what files the errors are. I open PB and look at the line where gcc tells me the error is found. Well, it turns out there is really an error. And big errors. (if you would like proof I will most gladly guide to the directory) Now, at the top of most of these error files it says. copyright, Apple Computer. Apple must have written this or something, right? Well, my question is how safe are the header files in /usr/include/? And if not safe, where could I find them to download because fixing these files will take days. Anyway, thanks for you time, I really appreciate it.
Tony
