doesPathPointToFile

  • Subject: doesPathPointToFile

In an NSOpenPanel, I need the user to be able to navigate into /private/var.

(1) How can I allow /private to appear in the list of files at root level?

(2) The user can type /private in the area below the list of files, which
is good, but then a repeated error message is generated, about
"doesPathPointToFile:" (and eventually we crash). I can't find any
information on what this might mean or where it's coming from. How do I
prevent this?

Thx for any help. m.
