You all had the same problem.
Obvious question, just to be sure : were you logged in
as root when you installed the software ?
What release of OSX are you using ?
One of the test I did was to create a blank disk image
with Disk Utility; I mounted the disk, and I installed
the software inside it.
Then, if it works, just copy the app in the correct
Application folder.
On my side, I'll try to fix it.
