I finally have the terminal editor almost done. It will be a full
featured editor, letting edit the text, apply bold/italic/underline
text. And it will let you edit the colors. The terminal sections can be
dragged around. The terminals them selves will be able to be named.
Right now I am making it so that you get a list of polygon names for the
teleport terminal section, and you get a list of level names for the
level teleport section.
I have the basics of a scenario manager completed. I am going to start
making so the scenario manager not only manages levels, but will also
manage the terminal pictures, physics models, and anything else that I
can think of that might be useful. You should be able to name the
terminal pictures soon also (like how you can name lights, tags, etc.),
for easier referencing when you choose them in the terminal editor.
The scenario manager will be able to easily convert Forge map files into
Pfhorge map files. Then you can edit t hem easily and when your done
you can merge them all together using a scenario manager document.
All the levels in the scenario manager are kept as separate files. The
scenario manager is saved into a folder, and all levels are also saved
into that folder. You can rearrange the levels by dragging them. When
you double click one it will open. Pfhorge files open much quicker then
Forge files.
Pfhorge can still open Marathon map directly and you can view them, but
you will not be able to do anything but view them unless you convert it
to a Pfhorge file. At any time you can export any level into a
Forge/Marathon file. You can also merge several levels together using
the new scenario manager.
What does everyone think of the new scenario manager way of doing things?
