Doing the two-step?

I noticed a strange glitch with NSDateFormatter, NSStepper, and NSTextField.
If the NSStepper is set to takeIntValueFrom: (or float, or double) the
NSTextField (and vice-versa, the field is editable), and the textfield
attached to the formatter, when the stepper is clicked in either direction,
field goes blank. Any suggestions? Is this a known bug, or should I file a
report? Or am I somehow doing something wrong?
