That's true, and I'm not trying to defend piracy in any way. I just wanted
to point out that, in my opinion, overprotecting a software makes you lose
potential new users. So, I'm not convinced it is worth to spend too much
energy in it.
Anyway, big suite usually choke their smaller adversaries by other means,
like imposing new undocumented file formats for instance. Fortunately,
there's not always a big suite which does what your small app does.
