I don't know if anyone responded to you, but I will, since I'm mucky-mucking with the Omni tools right now as well. My general method for compiling these things has been (good or not), open up the OmniBase project. Do a build. This should go without a hitch (besides it bugging you about having source control going for the project).
Now open the OmniFoundation project (you'll notice that if there wasn't before, there should be a "build" directory. Copy the "OmniBase.framework" from the "build" directory in the OmniBase folder into the "build" directory for OmniFoundation.
Now you should be able to build the OmniFoundation project.
Yes, this isn't the best solution, but it works and will let you move on with your life.
