Funny NSDateFormatter behaviour

  • Subject: Funny NSDateFormatter behaviour

I am programmatically setting an NSDateFormatter on an NSTextField in one of my nibs. This text field is editable and selectable. The format is: %I:%M %p (12-hour time, minutes, AM/PM). Let's say the current time is listed as 02:35 PM. If I focus then unfocus the text field, the PM changes to AM without the user (me) changing anything at all. It has no action sent when editing is done.

What's causing this and is it possible to work around?
