accessing resources

  • Subject: accessing resources

Hello:

I'm interested in accessing a resource (for reading and writing) in a preference file, but I haven't been able to find anything about how to do that in Project Builder's docs or Apple's site. It's a custom resource and I would like to read and write to and from an NSString with the resource. Anybody know how this can be done directly or with some converting?

I've only been developing on the Macintosh using Cocoa (or anything else for that matter) for a few days so it'd be cool if you can respond in pretty easy-to-understand terms.

Thanks,
Chaz McGarvey
