Help with SHA Hashing

  • Subject: Help with SHA Hashing

To those of you who have already offered me help, thanks!

Apparently, Cocoa does not have (with my skill level) access to the hashing
routines described in the Terminal's man pages. I need to use the Security
Framework's cssm files. (What does cdsa and cssm stand for?)

The only documentation I can find on cdsa is a 1033 page .pdf file from "The
Open Group". The documentation is VERY thorough, but sounds like it was
written by a committee.

Anyone have a hint where some more user friendly documentation on cssm or
cdsa can be found?

Anyone have any sample code using this stuff?

Anyone ever do a SHA-1 hash in Cocoa?

Anyone ever do 3DES EDE in Cocoa?

Anyone ever do PKE in Cocoa?

To everyone, thanks in advance, sorry to be so slow!
