Hi,
Is there a category or subclass for NSString or NSMutableString that provides methods for doing simple searches within the string and doing find-and-replaces?

Apple has one in their TextEdit example (see TextFinder classes)

There is an article on this (although not yet updated to 10.1, I think it probably works as advertised) in the old HTMLEditor series (http://www.stepwise.com/Articles/HTMLEditor)... it's scheduled to be updated and included in the new series as the third installment..
