How in the world can you get a utility window to minimize?!
Hmm. Doesn't work in IB, for me, at least. Interesting.
My guess is that it was deemed unnecessary, as the sort of windows the
utility window type is intended for would not normally be miniaturizable
(like inspectors, etc.). I've noticed this before, that the Kit guys
seem to have a pretty rigid idea of what one ought to use utility
windows for. (I was annoyed that it is only available as a style for
NSPanel, not for NSWindow, as I recall...).
The interesting part is this: you *can* minimize those windows. I noticed
that in applications like Aquisition, when you hold down the option key
and click on the minimize button of a document window to minimize all
windows, the small utility window will get minimized as well, even though
its minimize button is disabled.
Also works with other applications.
Is that a bug or a feature?
