I think that one of two things is happening...
1-) When you open things up to a community this size, you're likely to
find someone devious enough to cause these problems for people, or...
2-) People are curious by nature, and given the addition of decent
computer skills, we're also all hackers by nature. Somebody goes to the
site, tries the edit button, deletes everything, and presses the save
button, all the time thinking that the site wouldn't possibly let them
do this, and expecting the username/password box at any time.
There's nothing you can do about the first person, but problem two can
be partially remedied if, whenever you post a link to www.cocoadev.com,
also include a short explanation of the nature of the site, even if it's
along the lines of:
"Yes, it's a wiki site, meaning you can edit whatever you want... please
exercise some restraint."

Oh, isn't _that_ a great way to show appreciation for Chirs' hard work!
The serious thing about this, is that whenever cocoadev.com is mentioned on
this mailing list the same thing seems to happen. Last time the front page
was deleted. It is really bad style (today's understatement) to come and
destroy the community others spent hours to build just for the sake of
destroying.
It troubles me that there are people on this list so totally lacking respect
for others' work.

Well, my promise to never speak of this again has to be broken, I am
afraid. Someone with too much free time and too little brainpower went
and erased the information page I linked to. Congratulations, whoever
you are! You win today's pointless moronity prize.
Anyhew, for a page that is more idiot-proof, go to

Sorry for the repost (and vitriol).

Hey all,
Sorry to blatantly plug a product, but there does appear to be a modicum
of demand for this:
I have developed an IB palette to allow in-Nib setting up of
NSDictionaries. I won't bother giving examples of why this might be
useful; if you're interested, you'll already know them.
It currently only allows NSStrings as keys, but the objects can be any
object you instantiate in IB, plus NSStrings and NSNumbers. It is a
doddle to use, and free. (Obviously, back up nibs before using it. There
shouldn't be any problems, but...)
If this interests you, go to
http://www.cocoadev.com/index.pl?FoundationCollectionsAndInterfaceBuilder
to find the source, discuss it, suggest modifications, etc. If not, just
ignore this email.
I plan to add NSArray support soon, but shan't disturb this list further
to announce it.
