number of recent documents?

I thought I had seen a method for setting the number of recent documents
to maintain in an NSDocument based app-- what controls the size of
NSRecentDocumentRecords?
But I don't see it NSDocument, NSDocumentController, or NSWorkspace.
Where did that selector go?
