Quicktime for Java And Cocoa

  • Subject: Quicktime for Java And Cocoa

Hi All,

All the examples I have seen so far use the AWT for Quicktime for Java,
what I would like
to do is use Cocoa-Java so I can use Interface builder. I have managed
to create a
Java App that uses an NSMovie and NSMovieView to get a Quicktime movie
up an playing under "Java", but is there anyway I can combine this with
Quicktime for Java API's.

I have though of a couple of ways but have no idea if they will work.
1) Create a normal Quicktime for Java movie object and pass this to the
NSMovieView.
2) Create a custom NSView Object to display the movie.

Then for both of these create control buttons (i.e. start and stop )
that call a function that has the
Quicktime for java code in it instead of linking them to the
NSMovieView functions inside Interface Builder.

Any thoughts or suggestions ?

Thanks
Owen
