For my own personal feelings, because Apple has provided their own tools with PB and IB, this has given the necessary tools for more casual developers to get into the ring. I'm just starting to create my own applications, but I'm finding it very exciting to be actually building useful tools that I use for my own purposes.

Not to mention, I think that Project Builder is the easiest IDE I've ever used, cutting away a lot of the extra crap that some IDEs have users wade through before they can even start a project.
