Is this a bug in Mac OS X?

It appears to be a bug in the Pseudo Terminal (PTY). I've a little Terminal.app replacement where you can choose wether to use a PTY or not. Trouble only appears when using a PTY.

The replacement won't work for anything than some experiments, but if you want a copy, I'll be happy to mail it to you.
