A little off-topic, but it was mentioned by a few people some weeks ago.
For the people in the UK who want their paper size to A4 or people in
Quibec who want theirs to be US-Letter, if you have an EPSON printer...
In /Library/Printers/EPSON, there should be a .plugin bundle which
corresponds to your printer. Within the plugin, in the Resources folder,
there are folders corresponding to a number of languages. If you are in
the UK and there are no en_GB.lproj folder, duplicate the English.lproj
folder and rename it en_GB.lproj. Within this folder, there is a file
called "Localizable.strings", which is a spelling error, as you know. In
the file, there should be a line that says "DefaultPaperSize" =
"na-letter"; change the "na-letter" to "iso-a4", and save the file. The
next time you use your printer, it should default to A4 size.
In Quibec, the folder "French.lproj" should be duplicated and renamed
"fr_CA.lproj". In the file, the "iso-a4" should be changed to
"na-letter".
This has done the trick for me, you may have to close an application and
re-start for the change to take effect, maybe even log-out and back in
or re-boot.
For some reason, it does not seem to work with MSIE 5.1.4, do figure...
