This seems like a huge lapse in the documentation to me.
Huge lapse it is, but I am afraid it's not in the documentation, but
rather somewhere on your side of the screen.
How can I find out this stuff?
If all other fails, what about RTFM?
Unfortunately, the "Methods Implemented by the Delegate" section is not
listed in the PDF file's table of contents, so it is in no way obvious
that it exists.
