This seems like a huge lapse in the documentation to me.
Huge lapse it is, but I am afraid it's not in the documentation, but
rather somewhere on your side of the screen.
How can I find out this stuff?
If all other fails, what about RTFM?
Excuse me, but I think you owe this guy an apology. There was certainly
no reason to be so harsh. It was a perfectly valid question... Why
don't you open NSWindow.html (all 176k of it!) like you suggested and
actually give it a look with a slightly less all-knowing attitude.
The "Methods Implemented By the Delegate" paragraph is buried deep, deep
beneath all the other stuff, with no mention of it whatsoever in either
the "Class at a Glance", "Class Description", or "Method Types" sections
near the top. Just how is a newbie supposed to know about it? I am new
to Cocoa as well, and it took me a while before I realized that section
existed in the docs.
(As a side note, there should be a "Delegate Methods" section just after
the "Method Types" section, if you ask me. I mean, duh... That IS a
lapse in the documentation!)
