In reality, UseUserMask seems to do absolutely nothing at all. At least if it does, I haven't been able to figure out what it is.

Hmm... so that basically means that PackageMaker is useless unless I want to install things as root. Well, at least I'm not the only one who can't get Use Usermask to work. It's kind of annoying though because I guess users of my app will have to drag things into the appropriate folders themselves. :(

Can anyone from Apple explain why that function doesn't work? Is it actually possible to make a package which installs with no problems and doesn't install things as root? Do I need to set the permissions with a post install script or something?
