Mamasam is a_lot_ more convenient than Apple's archives. It doesn't use the
digest format, for one thing. Email adresses are removed from posts before
display, so harvesters go home empty handed.
I believe Apple has given its blessing to Cocoadev. They made some rules
about list mirroring, which required people to request permission, and I
believe Apple granted it to mamasam.
