What's the difference between NSBGOnly, LSBackgroundOnly and NSUI Element?

What's the difference between the NSBGOnly, LSBackgroundOnly and NSUIElement
flags in plist files?

AFAIK if you set any of them to <string><1> your app will not have a Dock
icon. What about being able to have other GUI elements such as windows and a
Menubar?
