I'd say, **if the whole thing is quite simple and has a very low probability to be considerably changed in future**, it is often sensible to join both M and C into one object. I don't think it actually violates MVC per se -- both are there, just they happen to be at the same place.

Of course, at the very last when the implementation goes over some, I'd say, 50 source lines, it's time to split them.
