Authorization...?

  • Subject: Authorization...?

I'm quite new to the whole Cocoa programming scene, so for my first real "project", I thought I'd develop a GUI to a terminal application that I'm developing. This terminal app requires root access, and I've got a few questions:

1) Is there any built in Cocoa function to create the "Admin access required" dialog, as seen in the Install application?
2) If so, how is it used/where can I find more info?
3) If not, what would be the recommended way of creating one, and confirming that the password is correct?

Thanks in advance,

Dylan Barrie
