Well, this is not real life. This is just a mailing list.
You have to have some rules to avoid too much noise. And those that Erik
postet are close to those that hold for newsgroups since many years. It
comes down to "inform yourself before you ask something" and "don't be
easily offended".
The other side sees itself poised on top of the mountain, scrutinizing
the newcomers climbing from below, and judging whether or not they are
worthy to be thrown a rope. That's bullshit.
Hm. But those that are trained in Objective-C/Cocoa *are* above
beginners like me in this regard. And furthermore they are not bound to
answer questions at all. So I think it's only fair to tell me how to
behave to _get_ answers to my questions.
(Sounds like in real life to me, btw ... ;-))
That said, I have seen lots of questions answered (even some quite
easy/stupid ones) but not one really rude comment.
The most annoying (i.e. useless) posts I read on this list are those in
this thread. So, please, let's stop this 'discussion' and get back to
Cocoa. Thanks.
